Frequently asked questions.
How do sound and vibration work?
At our core, we are rhythmic beings—breathing, pulsing, sensing. Sound and vibration meet us in this natural rhythm, offering a gentle way for the body to return to balance.
As tones move through the air and into the body, they are not only heard, but felt. Subtle vibrations can be received through the skin, the bones, the fascia, the breath—inviting the nervous system to slow, to soften, to settle. In this state, the body is no longer bracing… but resting.
Many experience this as a quiet shift—where the mind begins to soften its edges, and the body moves out of stress and into a more regulated, restorative state. This may be supported by activation of the vagus nerve and a natural transition into slower brainwave patterns, often associated with deep rest, meditation, and dreamlike awareness.
Like a gentle internal massage, sound creates space—
for tension to release,
for breath to deepen,
for the body to remember ease.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a subtle, nurturing practice that invites the body into a state of deep rest and energetic balance.
Rooted in the understanding that life energy flows through all living beings, Reiki offers a way to support that flow—especially where it may feel blocked, depleted, or unsettled. Through light touch or hands held just above the body, the practitioner offers a steady, calming presence that the nervous system can respond to.
In this space, the body may begin to unwind naturally… the breath softens… and a sense of quiet spaciousness can emerge.
Many experience Reiki as deeply soothing—supporting emotional clarity, restful sleep, and a gentle reconnection to self. It is not something done to the body, but rather something the body is invited to receive, in its own time and in its own way.
When woven together with sound and vibration, Reiki becomes a layered, sensory experience—supporting both the physical and energetic body in a state of restoration and flow.
Are these practices safe and supported?
These offerings are designed as complementary, body-centered practices that support relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being.
Emerging research suggests that sound-based practices may support nervous system regulation—through pathways such as vagal tone and heart-rate variability—while Reiki has been associated in some studies with reduced anxiety and improved quality of life. While this research continues to evolve, many individuals report a lived experience of deep calm, release, and renewal.
Each session is thoughtfully shaped with care and attention to your comfort. That said, if you have specific medical conditions—such as implanted devices, seizure sensitivity, vestibular concerns, or recent surgery—it is important to consult with your healthcare provider prior to participating.
These practices are intended to support your well-being alongside any medical or therapeutic care you may already be receiving.
Above all, your safety, comfort, and autonomy are always honored.
